(We aspire for a multilingual and pluricultural learning environment, and therefore accept and welcome GIGA and other students who are not native speakers of Japanese. Where necessary, we combine Spanich, Japanese, and English when we give explanations. Any previous inquiries before we start the term should be directed to the course coordinator and Spanish Department email addresses.)
Previously, the Spanish course at Keio-SFC substituted the Intensive 3 with the Study-Abroad Program at Salamanca (Spain). Starting from spring semester 2017, we will offer an in-campus course for this level aiming to achieve a more solid capacity of intermediate Spanish amongst the learning students. This will be the course to take for those who have already completed the Intensive 2.Intensive 3 and the following Intensive 4 aims to attain the "B1" level based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), where the learner is able to deal with standard situations encountered in work, schoool, or leisure. The learner will also be able to produce logically-constructed texts. We will therefore be dealing with relatively complex communicative situations and linguistic structures (grammars). By carrying out tasks using Spanish and through reflexive examination of our own foreign-language learning process, we give great importance to the development and growth of individual learner, who takes responsibility of his/her own learning, i.e. as a learner who not only learns Spanish, but also learns ‘how to learn.’

国家が提供するサービスはどこまで市民生活の安全を支えることができるのか?本科目では、公共のサービスを提供する国家の役割を精査することで「人間の安全保障」(あるいはその欠如)を検討し、合わせてその限界が生み出すリスクを明らかにする。
公共のサービスを提供する国家(あるいはその権威の許で機能する政府)とそのコスト(税金など)を負担する市民は一定の契約関係にあると考えてよいが、この契約範囲の大小によっては国家は夜景国家とも福祉国家とも呼ばれる。この契約関係を前提として市民が営む「日常」とはどのようなものなのか?この契約を前提としても、国家の政策が市民全体で享受できるものであるとは限らないし、それどころか全く不十分である場合も多い。さらに、そうした政策は市民の自立性を犠牲にしてしまう場合も十分に考えられるし、そうした例も数多い。
この科目では上記のような疑問、課題をヘルス、治安、教育などの分野でのケースを複数の国の例を取り上げながら検討してゆく。

Irrespective of device and software, foundation of novel fabrications is to enhance the completion degree of a product by utilizing the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) cycle. This class deals with basic technologies and measurement techniques required for novel fabrication from both the analog and digital aspects. To experience practical fabrication processes and to learn more advanced technical and consideration skills, this course consists of three exercise rounds each of which has a different hands-on theme.
