The purpose of this course is to improve Chinese reading and speaking ability. Suitable for students interested in Chinese society. In class, you will read the original Chinese texts about various hot topics in current Chinese society, learn Chinese expressions, and practice how to express your views in Chinese.
The virtual space platform will be used in the class, and various Chinese dialogue exercises will be carried out on this platform.
In this lecture, we will examine and consider various elements necessary for practicing Chinese language education, such as language and chinese character, ethnic diversity, vocabulary, grammar, sociolinguistics, non-verbal communication, interlanguage and error analysis, incorporating examples from previous studies and comparative cases with Japanese. At the end of the semester, individuals or groups will take up topics of interest and actually conduct classes.
In this course, we will examine and discuss the various elements necessary for practicing Chinese language teaching - language, characters, vocabulary, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, nonverbal communication, intermediate language and misuse analysis, etc., with examples from previous research.
At the end of the semester, students will be asked to work individually or in groups on a topic of their interest and actually teach the class.
The purpose of this course is to examine the diversity of language and culture through Chinese. China has a large population, vast territory and abundant cultures. Every region has its own cultural background and linguistic habits. PUTONGHUA is only one of the many aspects present in the Chinese language. In order to make you learn about the internal diversity of Chinese, I will introduce dialects, especially the form spoken in Taiwan. And then, through the contrast between Chinese and other languages, you can develop your understanding of Chinese while familiarizing yourself with the differences of the cultures behind those languages.

Culture is formed in society and constantly changing throughout history. In China, a vast country with a territory 25 times the size of Japan, culture varies considerably from region to region.
In this course, students are required to read literature on local histories (in Chinese) and examine the cultural differences among the major regions of China (North China, Central China, and South China). More specifically, based on the local historical documents, we are going to collect and analyze information regarding geographical environment, food, marriage, beliefs and customs, dialects, etc. In this process, students will be able to learn the multiple meanings of culture and understand the complex relationship between culture and local society in China.
The Intensive course is the core of the Malay-Indonesian language program at SFC. Intensive 2 is designed for students who have completed Intensive 1 or Basic 2, and aims to develop intermediate level proficiency in Indonesian in an intensive and efficient manner over four lessons per week. The classes cover grammar, conversation and vocabulary. Classes focus on grammar, conversation, vocabulary building, reading and writing skills. At the same time, students will learn about Indonesian and Malaysian society and culture from a team of teachers with various specialties. At the end of this level, students will be able to express their thoughts and perspectives in Indonesian in a fairly free manner. Students will also be able to acquire academic skills equivalent to the C level of the Indonesian Language Proficiency Test.
The Intensive Course is the core course of the Malay-Indonesian language program that has been offered continuously since SFC was founded. Intensive 2 is a class for students who have completed Intensive 1 or Basic 2, and aims to acquire intermediate level Indonesian language skills in an intensive and efficient manner in four classes per week. Classes focus on grammar, conversation, vocabulary building, and reading and writing skills. At the same time, you can learn about the society and culture of Indonesia and Malaysia from instructors with various specialties.
By completing this level, you will be able to acquire the ability to express your thoughts and viewpoints fairly freely in Indonesian. In addition, you can acquire academic ability equivalent to the level of the Indonesian language proficiency test C grade.

Intensive 1 is a class for beginners, and aims to acquire basic Indonesian language skills intensively and efficiently in four classes a week. Classes focus on basic grammar, conversation, and vocabulary building. Students who successfully complete this level will be able to have a simple conversation in a minimum of Indonesian. In addition, you can acquire academic ability equivalent to the level of the Indonesian Language Proficiency Test Class D.
This course provides the basic knowledge of Indonesia Language. There are two Indonesian native teachers. One of them emphasizes the teaching of grammar while the other is in charge of the use of Indonesian language in communication.
The Basic Course is open for students who want to learn basic Indonesian language skills slowly and carefully. This course is divided into two levels, Basic 1 and Basic 2, and is taught twice a week, focusing on simple conversation and basic grammar.
Basic 2 is the continuation of Basic 1. In Basic 2 you will learn more verbs to describe your day to day activities. This class also explore all the four skills and communication skill.
