Course Summary

Mathematics for machine learning and AI.
In fall 2020, we will focus primarily on the underlying logic for AI, including inference and causality. The works of Judea Pearl will be included.

Graph theory forms a key component of algorithms for GOFAI (good, old-fashioned AI), neural networks and deep learning, and quantum computing, and so will be a major component of the fall.

Also, background material for linear algebra will be covered as needed.
