This is a graduate-level course taught mainly in English. However, classroom discussion, presentations, and course readings may also be done in Japanese.
The focus of the course is on the concepts and practice of fieldwork, particularly in Asia.
The objective is to enable graduate students to do Master's-level surveys and fieldwork as a major input to their theses. If you have already done fieldwork or plan to do it this course is for you.
