Course Summary

In this seminar held completely in German language, we will deal with current social, cultural, political and economic developments in German-speaking countries while drawing comparisons with Japan. This semester's class will put one focus on foreign language learning and teaching, and we will develop own materials for foreign language classes and test them. Other topics are possible, depending on the interests of participating students. The seminar is basically open to all students who want to work academically using German language. Students will practice their academic skills (researching information, choice of topics, academic writing, academic reading, presentations etc.). (Class delivery is change to "Online (live)" on July 27.)
