Course Summary

This course is about ‘Life and Culture in Africa’. The course introduces students to cultural aspects of daily life in Africa. The aim is to help students grasp the core of the African way as they work on their language needs.
The course is taught in English and its main language component is speaking. Students also have the opportunity to work on listening and summary writing skills. Research assignments are presented in a form of short summaries and reported as a speech.
The course will use a hybrid system of both face-to-face and online sessions. For sessions on campus, students are encouraged to take measures for preventing the spread of Covid-19. The sessions will still be streamed through Zoom for those outside of the campus. For online sessions, students who happen to be on campus can use the appointed classroom for attending the class.
