Course Summary

This course will consist of two parts, lecture and practice.
In each session, based on the lesson plan, the students will develop their knowledge of shogi in the lecture and experience the thinking process in shogi in the practical session.

In the lectures, students will listen to the lecturer's talk through the web conference system, and aim to think about Japanese culture, history, human thinking, and scientific aspects through Shogi from various approaches.
Practical training will be conducted using the web-based Shogi service (81 Dojo *account registration is required). In this course, students will learn the fun of shogi by actually playing shogi using 81 Dojo, a web-based shogi service.
