This course will be conducted in the style of a writer's workshop. Students will write a series of formal essays, and receive feedback from the teacher and other students. This class has a lot of homework. Reading assignments are of published short stories, followed by in-class quizzes. Students are asked to write about their lives, and to provide analysis of the writing of classmates. There is in-class writing every week. Please be prepared to write a lot on SFC Moodle. This class asks you to speak a lot, read a lot, and write a lot.
