Course Summary

Following the cutting edge of local governance studies, this seminar addresses the contemporary issues of local governance not only in Japan but also around the world. It focuses on three approaches toward the issues: (i) Evidence-based public management, (ii) Citizen participation & coproduction, and (iii) Digital-era co-governance. In this spring semester, the instructor and students learn and discuss citizen participation & coproduction and digital-era governance.
