Course Summary

Environmental issues in polar regions have been one of the hot topics in global challenges. Throughout the course, students will learn the current environmental issues in both the Antarctic and the Arctic. Topics vary from climate change, human impact, conservation, and management, to bioprospecting. By working in groups and discussing how to solve these problems, students will gain knowledge on the current environmental issues on earth and skills for developing their own ideas toward the sustainable management and use of the natural resources on earth.
