Course Summary

India being a diverse country, with a long history and close and strategic partnership with Japan, the course aims to enhance understanding on depth and diversity of India, and would explain the partnership areas of India Japan bilateral collaboration. This will be first of its type of cross-disciplinary course, which will provide a comprehensive overview of the studies related to India. A new laboratory is being proposed in KRI in SFC. This course would be part of the activities of the new laboratory.

Overall three aspects related to India would be addressed:
- Culture, history, art, religion, and language studies
- Development, environment and economic growth strategies
- Science, technology and innovation studies
The course would have a combination of in-house and guest lectures from eminent personalities, who are knowledgeable on different aspects of from different aspects and disciplines related to India. Several lectures would be provided through online presentations from India and elsewhere.
