With the establishment of the Learning and Education Laboratory for the Society 5.0 Era (Representative: Hiroshi Suzuki) at the SFC Research Institute in August 2019, in addition to the previous theme of "Fostering Social Producers who Graduate from Modernity and Create a New World," we will be conducting research on the new theme of "Co-education to Foster People who Create a New World" and In addition to the previous theme of "fostering social producers who will graduate from modernity and create a new world," we have added a new theme of "co-education to nurture people who will create a new world" to our research and project objectives.

In the spring of 2020, we began supporting high school students' inquiry-based learning in Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Specifically, in cooperation with the city's Board of Education and school teachers, we are running inquiry learning courses for high school students in Hagi. In order to nurture the "creative power" of students, who are the leaders of the future, we are in the process of creating a model case for creating new learning. We are also planning to collaborate with the Niseko City Board of Education in Hokkaido.
