Course Summary

This course is an introduction to data science, covering the fundamentals of statistics and its elementary applications. Students learn introductory techniques for collecting and organizing data, statistical analysis, and presentation.

Specifically, the course covers descriptive statistics such as mean, variance, and correlation of data, population and sample, probability distribution and sample distribution, inferential statistics such as estimation and test, and statistical analysis such as analysis of variance and regression analysis.
