Course Summary

Cognitive science is the interdisciplinary study in which philosophy, linguistics, psychology, brain science, artificial intelligence, computer science, and other sciences explore human "knowledge" across traditional academic boundaries. In this class, students experiences basic methods of experiments in cognitive psychology. Students first participates several experiments and learn how to analyze the data. Through a group work, students then design an experiment, collect data, analyze them, and give a presentation.
Elementary statistical knowledge is required for this class. We assume to use Microsoft Excel. Although not required, it is useful to be able to use the total statistics software R and the programming languages Python and JavaScript.
