Research Seminar / Project Theme planned for next semester

In Academic Year 2024, we will focus our research efforts on four areas:

1. Quantum Internet: simulation, design and experiments. AQUA is one of the world's leading groups in this area. We are working with QITF and QIRG, and we are building a testbed network.
2. Quantum computation: As members of the Keio Quantum Computing Center, SFC students will have direct access to IBM's leading edge quantum computers. We are working on improved compilers, debuggers, error mitigation, algorithms, and more. For the Japanese Moonshot program, we are working on distributed quantum error correction.
3. Quantum education: We are part of the Q-Leap Quantum Education program. AQUA is responsible for developing new online courses on quantum communications.
4. Quantum community: We participate actively in quantum hackathons, public outreach, international research group management, and academic journals.
