Detail

Course Summary

The seminar will focus on various global economic issues. It consists of two parts. The first half will be based on students' own joint research and presentation on specific topics (such as US monetary policy and global south in Spring 2023) and students' discussions. Also, students will participate in debate on recent topics. The second half of the seminar is presentation of short articles. The topics depends on the availability of latest articles. The past seminars covered digital assets, CBDC, climate change, carbon pricing, debt problems in emerging market economies, poverty and inequality, China's economy, monetary policy, financial and capital markets, and DX and digitization etc. Students will submit a term paper based on the articles. Graduation project students make presentation of their papers and submit them based on the comments received.
