Together with Erika Nakagawa, this research group aims to invent and discover new architecture.
Students will explore ways to turn the outdoors into a place of belonging by understanding the existing conditions of the site, learning self-construction methods, experiencing the effects on-site, and discussing them.
In this term's special project A, we will experience architectural mechanics from the architecture right in front of us, especially through tensegrity, which handles large spaces with a small amount of materials, and the independent construction of frames using conventional wooden structures and temporary materials.
The aim is to gain learning from on-site lectures and exercises that cannot be obtained from university lectures.
