Population and Social Dynamics (Applied)
This research seminar B (2): Applied ("kenkyu-kai B-applied") is designed to promote individual and group research on population and social dynamics. Students will be expected to undertake independent (or group) research projects and share their progress periodically throughout the semester. While the expectation is that these individual or group research projects will focus on topics such as international population movements, migration and refugees, ethnicity, multiculturalism, etc., students may choose to research a topic that is not directly related to the aforementioned areas with the instructor's approval.
* Third-year students who wish to have me as their graduation project mentor starting from the spring semester of their fourth year must, in principle, take Research Seminar B2 from the preceding fall semester of their third year.
* Those who are completing their graduation projects under the instructor's supervision are expected to enroll in this research seminar B (2).
*You are strongly recommended to concurrently take Research Seminar B1.
