    This is the training course to enhance your research ability to understand and strengthen our neural communication between the brain and body, related to various functions such as thinking, feeling, learning, sensing, and moving. You will learn various methodologies such as neurophysiological wave recordings (EEG and/or EMG), neural stimulations (TMS, tDCS, tACS), neural imaging (fMRI), and computational neuroscience, and consider how to apply them for your own research.

    In this semester, we will have this class online by using Zoom or WebEx Training.

    Occupational health psychology concerns the application of psychology to improving the quality of work life, and to protecting and promoting the safety, health and well-being of workers. It covers not only workers but also work organization and environment. It also deals with negative aspects of well-being (e.g., stress, diseases,injury) as well as positive aspects (e.g., performance, motivation, career).
    In this course, students will learn concepts and activities of occupational mental health. They will also learn current topics such as positive mental health, leisure time and health, death from overwork (Karo-shi) and suicide from overwork (Karo-jisatu), mental health support for oversea workers, and bullying and harassment.

    In this course, students will learn the ecology of the various organisms living in Antarctica. The targeted organisms vary from the small terrestrial organisms such as bacteria and mosses to the much larger marine animals such as mammals and seabirds. The research approaches also differ depending on the target species, and those include the genetic analysis and the bio-logging. Throughout the course, students will gain the basic understanding of the ecology of the Antarctic organisms as well the human activities related the Antarctic science and industries within the Antarctica.

    In this lecture, the object oriented programming using with Swift scripting language are mainly studied. Because Python language that has been learned in the previous lecture classes focuses on web application, the main target of this lecture is to follow up developing the ability of basic programming for making applications. Using Swift interpreter and the standard libraries, students studies the programming paradigm, especially using the objects of the standard libraries. The style of lecture is to the discipline of the typing keys of keyboard according to program coding, and to the practice of making programs.

    In the first half we study set theory and mathematical logic. These are useful of logical thinking. In the latter half we study probability. We overview permutation and combination, which you have learned at high school, and then, we study probability. Our goal is Bayesian Theory. This is new for all. Mathematics in university is different from one in high school. Even if you are no good at calculation and memory, you have a chance to enjoy mathematics in university.
