外国語学習のための「学びのコミュニティ」作りと複言語主義
日本の言語教育における課題の一つとして、学習中の言語に触れる／戯れる機会と時間数の少なさ、そしてそれに伴う学習中の外国語に対するモチベーションの維持・向上の難しさが挙げられるのではないだろうか。特に中級以上の学習者のモチベーションを維持するためには、学習環境の整備が重要となるだろう。そのような前提において、外国語学習のための「学びのコミュニティ」作りには、どのようなことが重要になるだろうか。言語学習における「楽しさ」を再発見させ、孤独な作業になりがちな「学習」を仲間との社会的な活動に結びつけるような魅力的な「協働プロジェクト」を作るにはどのようなことができるのだろうか。
この研究会では、既存のプロジェクトの参与観察を行い、それらの試みが現実的に持続可能な教育実践かどうかという点を軸に分析し、「外国語の学びのコミュニティ」を実際に実現することを目指す。
そしてまた、複言語主義に基づく相互文化的理解を目指すこれからの社会にふさわしい外国語学習のための「学びのコミュニティ」作りについて考察する。
コピーとオリジナリティ
本研究会では模倣とオリジナリティの問題を扱います。既に完成された古典作品の模倣こそが良き芸術として評価されてきたのに対し、ロマン主義以降には模倣を才能の欠落とみなすような決定的な価値の逆転が生じ、芸術の世界に独自性や新しさが追及されるようになり現代に至ります。また、一方で模倣を用いることによる逆説的な独自性を世に問う芸術も誕生し、模倣をめぐる問題は現代性の追究と非常に関連のあるテーマ(オマージュ、引用、パロディ、剽窃等)にもつながっています。オリジナリティとコピーをめぐる諸問題を考察することは現代の社会・文化を考察することにも関連するでしょう。
まず出発点を明確に共有するために文献の輪読およびディスカッションを行います。参加者は並行して各自で興味のある関連テーマを選び、研究をすすめ、研究発表を行います。

This course is aiming at understanding policy process of the United Nations, focusing on sustainable development policies, and identifies problems for effective policy and policy process of the United Nations. Most of the course will be undertaken at the United Nations headquarters and Japanese mission to the United Nations in New York, and the participation in the full period of the New York session is required. This is currently set for 6-9 July (subject to change).
*Due to COVID2019, UN site visit programme is uncertain. If UN visit is not possible, students are expected to read UN documents (and possibly on-line session). For those who want to attend the UN site visit, I would recommend to take the class next year.

おわりに： 21世紀に入ってから生物学は急速にデータドリブンな学問へと変貌を遂げつつあります。よって、定量的かつ網羅的なデータをいかに取得し、その膨大な情報から情報学や統計学を駆使しつつ生物学的に重要な知見を見出すか、が鍵となります。

デジタル新時代の経済とビジネス
シェアリングエコノミーや信頼をベースとした経済システムなど、新しい経済や経営を生み出している潮流の理解をはかる。特に新しい情報技術が経済社会の根幹をいかに変化させ、サイバー文明とも呼ぶべき、従来とは全くことなる経済を生み出している実態を把握する。そして、ビジネスの組織、戦略がどのように変化し、我々の働き方がいかに変化していくかを展望していく。
未来を理解するためには、既存の仕組みがどのようにして出来上がってきたかを理解する必要がある。また、未来を展望するにあたっては、勝手に想像するのではなく、経済やビジネスの論理をしっかり学び、また萌芽的に起こっている事象をエビデンスとしてしっかり検証していく必要がある。
このような問題意識のもと、本研究会では(1)ビジネスの基礎について学ぶ。その中には毎回実施される会計クイズもある、(2)ビジネスの基礎に関する文献の輪読と議論、(3)デジタル技術が経営に与えているインパクトについての文献輪読と議論、(4)ビジネススクール流のケース討論、などを行っていく。授業は日本語で行い、文献も日本語のものを多くするが、一部英語の文献があることを承知しておいて欲しい。特に、会計クイズのテキストとして次を使用するので入手しておいて欲しい。Piper, Mike (2013), “Accounting Made Simple: Accounting Explained in 100 Pages or Less”, Simple SubjectsとBrison, Stuart (スチュアート・ブライソン）(2020), "Introduction to Accounting in English （英語で学ぶ会計入門）," Chuo Keizai（中央経済）.
この授業はオンキャンパスで行うことを基本とするが、一部リアルタイムオンラインやオンデマンドオンラインの授業を行うことがある。
数名の新メンバーをお迎えしたい。「ベンチャー経営論」でA以上の成績をとった学生については優先的に検討する。
この研究会とテーマ的にはほぼ同じ研究会(1)が別途存在しますがそちらは完全に英語で実施されること、読む文献が大部分異なることを承知していてください。応募状況によりますが、余裕ある場合には両方をとっていただいても結構です。
授業では最近の世界経済の動向（日本、中国、欧州、米国など）、金融政策（枠組み、独立性、非伝統的緩和手段）、株式市場と日本銀行のETF買い入れ政策、財政政策と金融政策の協調（ヘリコプターマネー、MMT、現在の枠組み）、インフレ目標と平均インフレターゲティング、気候変動と金融政策、ESG投資、国際金融センターなどを解説する。
非営利・営利組織の幹部が組織の中長期戦略を考えるにあたり、幹部の指示のもと、戦略を立案する部署が情報を収集し、分析を行っている。例えば、マーケティング（需要側のデータ）調査の場合、幹部がマーケティング部門に路上調査を命じ、ターゲット層の嗜好を調査するケースがあげられ、分析では、「原因と結果」の因果関係を明らかにすべく活動している。近年もこれらの調査手法が使われるケースも多々あるが、90年代後半に入り、ITの爆発的な普及により、個人はITを活用した情報の検索・収集が可能になり、付随して組織は、個人の購買履歴等の多種多様な膨大な顧客情報をデータとして容易に蓄積する事が可能になった。そして、2010年代に入りIT技術の更なる進歩により、大量のデータを大きな規模のままで分析を行い、新たな知の抽出や価値の創出ができるインフラが整いつつある。近年、これらの大量のデータをビッグデータと総称し、このデータを活用した最適な統計分析手法の一つである2つの要因の関係性を調査する相関分析を参考に意思決定を行うケースも出てきている。又、政府は、オープンデータに関して平成25年5月に第2次安倍内閣の新たなＩＴ戦略として「世界最先端ＩＴ国家創造」宣言が発表され、行政が保有する公共データを2次利用可能な形で国民に提供する事を宣言し、企業が保有するデータと相互に結び付け、新たなビジネスや官民協働によってイノベーション創出の実現を目指している。これらのデータの更なる活用により、市場・組織・市民・政府の社会システムが変化しようとしている。本講座では、上記の社会システムに対応できる人材を育成すべく、ビッグデータを扱うアーキテクトの研究とシステムもわかる情報戦略を実働できるデータサイエンティストの育成に繋げるべくIT、アナリティクス、デザインの融合を目指した人材育成を行う。
This course is to discuss the nature of international business by referring to case study materials. The students read the case before the class, write a short report, and participate an active discussion facilitated by the course instructor.
The case is selected to cover all the important issues around international business, as well as major industries and regions. Topics covers: supply chain, distribution chain, organisation and strategy, new entrant, M&A, competition with local firms, collaboration with local firms, low cost distribution, low cost business model, and Japanese business overseas. Most of the case are less than 10 years old and will constantly be updated.
The students read the case study, which typically is 10-15 pages in English, and write a A4-1page report to answer the questions given by the instructor. Depending on the class size, one group may give a presentation of the overview of the case, and then the class moves to an active discussion session facilitated by the instructor.

Second Language Games- & Task-Based Research
This course will examine approaches to conducting and interpreting research in the field of Games- and Task-based Language Teaching and Learning. The class is intended for those interested in second language teaching and those who want to work in the field of applied linguistics as language educators or researchers.
The content of the class with explore topics in research design and methods using games and tasks for foreign language learning purposes. Topics will cover a variety of areas, including Task-based assessment, sociocultural theory, survey design & use, discourse analysis, validity, and others, with a focus on classroom- and practical-based research applications for teachers and educators. Students will be expected to design their own task for research purposes, collect pilot research, and analyze and report results.
The course will be a mix of lecture, discussion, and groupwork that is designed to introduce new ideas, discuss and think through concepts from a contextualized and student-based perspective of second language teaching and engage in content through hands-on activities. Student participation and preparation is essential to success in the class.

This course will survey second and foreign language teaching methods with a focus on task-based approaches and research. This class is intended for those interested in second language teaching and those who want to work in the field of applied linguistics as language educators or researchers.
The content of the class will introduce task-based teaching, but then focus on a specific and recent aspect of task-based learning. Topics for the class will cover a wide number of second language learning areas, including pragmatics, motivation, acquisition, assessment, and more, integrating both research-based and practical (i.e., teaching) applications for the material. If you have previously taken my seminar on task-based learning, the content will be different.
The course will be a mix of online lecture, discussion, and groupwork that is designed to introduce new ideas, discuss and think through concepts from a contextualized and student-based perspective of second language teaching, engaging in content through hands-on activities. Student participation and preparation is essential to success in the class.
NOTE: This class will incorporate a hybrid style of instruction. Students will meet regularly on-campus each week (provided it is safe to do so), while lectures, readings, and assignments will be carried out using online modules. Those who are unable to participate in person on-campus can and should join via Zoom or other online platforms.
