Course Summary

RNA controls higher-order biological phenomena in a complex and precise manner. In this summer project, we will investigate how RNA and related biomolecules contribute to our respective research themes through experiments with both living organisms and computers, with the aim of deepening our understanding of life phenomena. Specifically, we will conduct research on the regulation of gene groups or gene expression in various environments in Halomonas sp., the mechanisms by which telomeric RNA and telomere-related proteins maintain telomere length, the development of techniques for detecting specific nucleic acid sequences, and the development of methods for in vitro synthesis of long RNAs with hyper-repetitive sequences.
