Then, in the spring of 2020, as part of a project to make Hagi City in Yamaguchi Prefecture more attractive to the local community, we began to support high school students in their exploratory studies. Specifically, in collaboration with the city's Board of Education and school teachers, we are running inquiry courses for high school students in Hagi and Mitoyo. Through these activities, we are in the process of creating a model case of creating new learning together with the local community and schools in order to nurture the "creative power" of students, who are the leaders of the future. In addition, there are plans to collaborate with the Niseko City Board of Education in Hokkaido.
As we move forward in the midst of such a period of change, we are now conducting a special research project in Hokkaido, with the aim of pursuing, practicing, and collaborating on further possibilities for inquiry-based learning with the local community.
