Course Summary

This special research project will address "physical education through bodily experience" and " linguistic communication of physical awareness".

During the three-day special research project, three external lecturers from different fields will be invited to conduct (1) a workshop on feeling and understanding one's own body and movements, (2) a workshop on understanding physical modalities in Japanese martial arts, and (3) a workshop on understanding and practicing physical sensation in martial arts.

Students will acquire a way of understanding through physical experience and a way of verbalizing and communicating such experience to others.
